Bailey Island Bridge (Cribstone Bridge), Cumberland County, Maine

Location: Route 24
Harpswell, ME 04079
(Between Orrs Island and Bailey Island)

Facts: The Bailey Island Bridge is 1,150 ft long and was completed in 1928. Its cribstone design allows the tide to ebb and flow freely. This cribstone bridge is the only one of its type in the world.
My two cents: The Bailey Island Bridge (Cribstone Bridge) is a great place for a Sunday afternoon walk. We drove down Route 24, explored the islands, took a walk over the Cribstone Bridge and visited Land's End afterwards.
